Prince William Will Participate in COP30 Climate Summit in South America

The Prince of Wales will represent the COP30 climate summit in Brazil during November, as confirmed by the royal household.

The father and son duo made a joint appearance on Thursday evening at a event leading up to the climate summit, which is scheduled to take place in the northern Brazilian city of Belém.

Father and son were present at the museum gathering, marking an rare public appearance together at a environmental conference preliminary meeting arranged together with the UK government.

Environmental Advocacy Commitment

The King has been a consistent supporter of protecting nature - and Prince William has assumed the responsibility, with his own Earthshot awards, which will be hosted in Rio ahead of the UN meeting.

Palace insiders have portrayed Prince William's attendance at the upcoming climate summit as taking on an important role in "climate diplomacy".

Previous Activities

The monarch and his heir, making a joint entrance in the official car, were introduced to attendees such as environmentalists, scientists, climate change campaigners, foreign representatives and government officials.
